With Scotia Charters you can decide how much or how little time you want to spend ashore. After all, you have chatered the vessel and it’s your holiday!
We recommend that you head ashore at some point each day; not just to make sure your land legs still work, but also so you can experience some of Scotland’s fantastic history, culture and heritage. If you want to have a longer walk, we can drop you off at one point on the coast and pick you up further along.
If you’re on a golf holiday you’ll want to fit in as many courses as you can, and we’ll tailor your itinerary to ensure you achieve this, while also experiencing as much time sailing as possible. Land transfers from the boat to golf courses or places of interest will be organised where necessary.

Each night we berth in a local harbour or mooring, allowing you to go ashore and enjoy a true taste of Scottish hospitality, whilst supporting the different local communities that we visit.
In most instances when taking you ashore we berth in a local harbour, marina or mooring and access from the boat is by fixed gangplank. From time to time we may drop anchor offshore and convey you to shore by boat tender. The boat tender never lasts more than a few minutes and is very safe. Access from the boat to the tender is by two fixed steps. Help is always on hand with clear safety procedures.
