  • The BBC provides a comprehensive weather service with the forecast provided by the Met Office.  Search for ‘Fort William’ at www.bbc.co.uk/weather for a forecast for Scotland’s west highlands or visit http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/coast_and_sea/coastal/ for sailing forecasts and choose the ‘Mull of Kintyre’ or ‘Ardnamurchan’ forecasts.
  • The Met Office is the UK’s national weather service and provides detailed land and marine forecasts.  Visit www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/marine for a comprehensive marine forecast – our main sailing regions are Hebrides and Malin.  For shore forecasts visit www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_forecast_weather.html.
  • Golf Tourism Scotland is a membership body which aims to help raise the profile of Scotland’s golf tourism industry.  To find out more visit www.golftourismscotland.com.
  • Scottish Golf Trails is an alliance partnership established in 2010 to promote golf tourism in north-east Scotland.  Based around two trails, the initiative includes 17 links and parkland courses.  Visit www.scottishgolftrails.co.uk for more information.
  • The Caledonian Canal stretches for over 60 miles from Corpach near Fort William to Inverness.
