Offering something a little different for a winter holiday in Scotland is Scotia W, a new luxury mini-cruise vessel which during December will be providing cruise holidays on Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands.
Carefully and beautifully converted from a former North Sea fishing trawler, Scotia W allows guests to discover Scotland from a different perspective. Available exclusively for private charter, she comes fully crewed with a skipper, cook and two crew members.
Facilities onboard the 80ft vessel cater for up to eight guests, with accommodation in four twin en-suite cabins. She boasts a large dining and lounge area that provides a comfortable place from which to relax, unwind and admire the views or read a good book. The lounge also features a large plasma TV screen and a DVD player. There is central heating throughout the vessel, ensuring that even on a crisp winter day it remains warm onboard.
Scotia W has extensive outdoor deck space from where guests can take in the scenery or watch the local wildlife, while enjoying nature at its most pure. Guests are also encouraged to spend time in the wheelhouse and experience life at the vessel’s helm.
Regardless of the season, a cruise in Scotland is a relaxing experience and Loch Ness provides a stunning backdrop in which to enjoy a winter cruise holiday. The area has something to offer everyone, from exploring the impressive ruins of Urquhart Castle to visiting local attractions or enjoying walks along the loch side. As you cruise along the loch you may even catch a glimpse of its most famous resident, Nessie.
All meals are provided onboard and each night the vessel berths in a local harbour or mooring, allowing guests to go ashore and enjoy a true taste of Scottish hospitality in local communities around the loch.
In addition to offering an alternative holiday experience, Scotia W is also available for corporate hire and makes an ideal venue for business meetings, team building activities and staff incentives.
From April 2012, Scotia W will provide individually tailored private charter cruise holidays in the Moray Firth, along the Caledonian Canal and around Scotland’s West Coast.
